Today we harvested, me and my wife, our Perle in the sun. There is still hops in the drying machine, at the same time as the brewery is mashing, and is laying the foundation for an ale on fresh Perle hops. It will be very interesting to taste the result of brewing with fresh hops in a few weeks. I got some of the inspiration from this article on beernews.se (in Swedish)
At 22:00 we have been working for 12 hours with harvesting, processing / drying and beer brewing. There is still 2-3 hours of work left. 🙂 Next year we might take on “Hop-evenings” that is an old Swedish tradition when harvesting our hops.:) Read the blog post about hop-evenings here.
